M.2 NVMe
MM.2 NAND memory modules based on the NVMe™ protocol and PCIe interface reach a significantly higher speed and thus meet the requirements for greater capacities and performance in Enterprise Storage Systems. The bandwidth of 32Gb/s (8Gb/s x 4 lanes) in NVMe SSDs is significantly higher than the 6Gb/s of a SATA III SSD whilst the latency being threefold lower and IOPS (Input/Output per second) much higher. Our NVMe SSDs with an industrial temperature range provide this performance even under temperatures from -40°C to +85°C with the dynamic thermal throttling adjusting the speed automatically as needed to protect the SSD against overheating at high temperatures or high read/write protection.
The NVMe 1.2 standard combined with 3D MLC NAND technology in M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs provides maximum performance and longevity for storage capacities up to 1TB. The speeds come up to 2,540 MB (read) and 1,100MB/s (write) and up to 100,000 IOPS.
NVMe has been specifically developed for non-volatile storage media and allows for greater speeds with lower latency compared with the AHCI standard that was designed for conventional hard drives.
